Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Draught (ranked 2048 p4p, 1920 weight class) and Amadeo Thevenet (ranked 220 p4p, 212 weight class). Draught comes to the cage accompanied by JACKEDANDSTACKEDMASSMONSTER. Amadeo Thevenet has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlton Draught! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Amadeo Thevenet! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thevenet gets caught napping as Draught dives in and scores a takedown. Thevenet manages to retain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thevenet looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Draught slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Thevenet is trying to improve his position. Thevenet stops Draught from passing to mount. Draught is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Thevenet is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Thevenet tries to bench press Draught off him but Draught keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draught cracks Thevenet with a big elbow. Thevenet can't do much from the bottom here. Draught working the ground and pound. Thevenet is looking to regain half guard here but Draught keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draught tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Draught has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Thevenet is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Sloppy strikes there by Draught. Thevenet is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Draught is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Thevenet is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Draught tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thevenet tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Draught wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Draught tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Thevenet tries to bench press Draught off him but Draught keeps the position. Draught looking to control but instead Thevenet has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Draught working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Thevenet's thigh. Thevenet counters though and makes it back to full guard. Draught tries to free his leg and advance position but Thevenet is retaining full guard. Draught passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Draught are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Draught tries for a kimura but Thevenet is defending well. Thevenet struggling a bit here. Draught tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Draught trying to control the action but Thevenet is working from the bottom. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Thevenet is looking to regain half guard here but Draught keeps moving and retains side control. Thevenet prevents Draught from moving into mount. Draught tries to move to full mount but Thevenet actually manages to regain half guard. Draught trying to pass the guard but Thevenet defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Draught is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Carlton Draught dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Thevenet paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Carlton Draught has been cut. Nice sprawl there from Thevenet as Draught shoots in. Draught drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Draught trying to control the position from guard on top but Thevenet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thevenet looking to control but Draught passes into half guard.
Draught is trying to control the action in half guard but Thevenet is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Thevenet wants to improve his position but Draught is controlling well.

Draught wants to control but Thevenet is keeping him busy. Thevenet tries to roll over but Draught keeps him under control. Draught wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thevenet keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Thevenet trying to control here.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Thevenet is trying to maintain the position but Draught is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Thevenet stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thevenet wants it to stay on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Thevenet. No joy for Draught on that attempt. Thevenet looks like he wants to counter punch here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlton Draught. That's going to take a lot out of him. Draught shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Draught scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Thevenet gets back to half guard. Thevenet works his way to full guard. Good work. Draught trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Draught passes Thevenet's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thevenet tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Draught has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Draught tries to control but Thevenet wriggling away. Draught can't control as he wanted to and Thevenet manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Thevenet is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are battling for position here. Thevenet manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Draught postures up.
Draught stands and throws Thevenet's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thevenet prevents Draught from moving into mount. Thevenet regains half guard, as Draught was trying to land strikes. Thevenet is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Draught tries to pass to full mount but Thevenet defends it. Thevenet controlling the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thevenet flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Carlton Draught dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Carlton Draught's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Draught gets a takedown into half guard. Draught uses his free foot to push down on Thevenet's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Thevenet. Draught trying to control but he's not successful this time. Thevenet tries to hold on but Draught postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thevenet wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Draught.
Draught lands a couple of good shots and Thevenet has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's one minute gone in the round. Draught is striking well from the back but Thevenet escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. Draught trying to advance position but Thevenet counters by regaining guard. Thevenet looking for a sweep. Not yet Thevenet, not yet. Thevenet can't keep his opponent in guard - Draught advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Draught is trying to control the action in half guard but Thevenet is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Draught scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Thevenet is holding on to half guard well. Thevenet felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Draught looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Carlton Draught is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Thevenet is trying to get back to full guard. Draught content to control rather than advance. Draught wants to pass to mount but Thevenet is defending the position. Draught not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Draught controlling from mount. Thevenet wants to hold on but Draught pushes him away. Thevenet slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Draught is looking to take a break and control but Thevenet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Draught trying to control the pace. Thevenet is trying to maintain the position but Draught is very close to passing his half guard. Draught seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Draught has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Carlton Draught showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Draught, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
