Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Mazepin (ranked 3307 p4p, 4747 weight class) and Jihadi John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazepin comes into the arena with boom blaring out of the sound system. John has chosen Ali-A as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 44 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Mazepin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 26 - 0, fighting out of London, Jihadi John !
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazepin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mazepin has a takedown stuffed.
John throws a body shot but no joy.
John throws an off balance right hand
and Mazepin counters with a three punch combo that has John backing up. John nods at Mazepin to acknowledge the strikes.
John has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mazepin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around John 's waist but John gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mazepin off to one side.
John looks to land a left hand but Mazepin moved out of range nicely.

Mazepin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mazepin thows a huge punch but John dodges it nicely.
Mazepin throwing shots but John is blocking nicely.
John pushes Mazepin off looking to stand but Mazepin dives back in and keeps control.

Mazepin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mazepin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, John has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mazepin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
John blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mazepin.

Mazepin stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows John to get to his feet.
Mazepin tries to score a power double leg takedown but John sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mazepin somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Mazepin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
John throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Mazepin counters with a takedown into side control.

Mazepin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
John parries the strikes from Mazepin easily there. Mazepin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable John to escape.

John is wriggling around trying to escape but Mazepin has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! John taps out and Mazepin picks up the big win! Great work there by Mazepin!
