Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Old Striking (ranked 3264 p4p, 3788 weight class) and Nick Fletcher (ranked 342 p4p, 386 weight class). Striking comes to the ring accompanied by Hard Work Cadence. Old Striking has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Old Striking! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Fletcher! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Striking lands a nice looking body shot.
Striking listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Fletcher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Striking is fending him off so far but Fletcher persists. Nope, Striking circles away and we're back to standing. Fletcher fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Striking with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fletcher shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Striking manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Striking is looking to stand up but Fletcher isn't so interested in that idea. Fletcher wants to pass the guard but Striking is keeping the position. Fletcher prevents Striking from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fletcher passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fletcher tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fletcher creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Striking sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Striking is trying to buck Fletcher off. Fletcher throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Fletcher has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Striking prevents Fletcher from improving position. Striking wants to get back to his feet but Fletcher drags him back down. Fletcher is trying to get an arm triangle but Striking is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Striking is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Striking looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Fletcher taking a breather here. Striking is pushing Fletcher's head away, looking to escape. Fletcher manages to hold on to the position though. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fletcher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Striking sprawls well. Striking wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fletcher gets slowly back to his feet. Old Striking has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Fletcher. Fletcher will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Striking. That's going to slow Fletcher down. Nice body punch from Striking. Striking lands a nice looking body shot.
Striking scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Fletcher takes a body punch but keeps moving. Striking lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Fletcher gets a double leg takedown into Striking's guard. Fletcher trying to control but Striking is working from the bottom. Fletcher stops Striking from standing up. Fletcher drops back looking for a leg! Striking is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Striking manages to kick Fletcher off! Fletcher jumps back into Striking's guard. Fletcher trying to control the position from guard on top but Striking is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fletcher thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fletcher won't allow Striking to get back to his feet. Fletcher trying to control but Striking is working from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Fletcher stops Striking from standing up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. An inside leg kick lands from Striking. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A good leg kick by Striking. Striking connects with a crisp jab. Fletcher throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fletcher has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fletcher there as he acknowledges the shot. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Striking is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Striking throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Striking feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fletchers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Striking lands a jab to the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Old Striking dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Striking digs a good body shot into Fletcher's ribs. Striking lands a body shot.
Fletcher misses with a takedown attempt and Striking counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Striking with a body punch. A glancing blow. Fletcher takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fletcher takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Striking is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Striking lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A momentary lapse in concentration from Striking enables Fletcher to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Striking manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nick Fletcher has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Striking keeping moving, preventing Fletcher from controlling successfully. Striking is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fletcher can do to turn this around? Fletcher stops Striking from standing up. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Striking throws a nice outside leg kick. Striking is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Fletcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Striking as he jumps to the side. Striking connects with a leg kick. Fletcher fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Old Striking has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Fletcher. Nice body punch from Striking. Fletcher takes one on the button. Striking lands a slapping body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice jab there from Striking. A decent looking cross lands there for Striking. A left lands for Striking. Striking connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fletcher momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Striking connects with a leg kick. Striking's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fletcher under the eye. An inside leg kick lands from Striking. Fletcher's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Donk. Striking catches Fletcher right on the button with a cross. Striking lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Decent striking displayed by Striking there. We've been informed that Fletcher has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Fletcher with a lazy takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Fletcher is breathing heavily. Fletcher takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Striking tests Fletcher's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fletcher takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fletcher closes the distance and clinches up with Striking, looking for a takedown. Fletcher pushes Striking against the ropes but Striking circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fletcher has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Striking fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fletcher looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Striking ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Fletcher is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Striking lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Fletcher takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Striking lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fletcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Striking as he jumps to the side. Striking's corner calls for a 1-2. Striking obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Striking fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fletcher looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Striking scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Striking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Striking connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fletcher momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Striking. That's going to slow Fletcher down. Striking chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Striking fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Fletcher takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fletcher tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Fletcher on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Fletcher looking to score a takedown here. Striking is defending well but Fletcher drives through and ends up in Striking's guard. Striking wants to stand up but Fletcher is controlling him. Fletcher throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Striking works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Striking wants to stand and escape but Fletcher is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Old Striking dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Striking scores with the left hand. Fletcher knows he should have avoided that one. Striking scores with a jab. Striking fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fletcher. Striking buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

As Fletcher backs away, Striking returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Fletcher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fletcher has his takedown stuffed and Striking counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fletcher moves forwards but Striking connects with a nice, crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Striking jabs at Fletcher's body. Fletcher on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Striking manages to get full guard. Striking will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Striking wants to get back to his feet but Fletcher is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Striking knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fletcher on the ground. Fletcher seems to be working for a kimura but Striking defends the submission attempt. Striking is trying to stand back up but Fletcher is controlling him

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Striking working hard to break the clinch. Fletcher using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Striking has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Striking is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Striking blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Striking can't break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fletcher avoiding damage.

Fletcher misses with an elbow over the top. Fletcher jumps guard but Striking stands there with Fletcher around his waist. Fletcher gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Old Striking showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Striking, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
