Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Belmiro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Belmiro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Belmiro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Navarro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Belmiro regains half guard. Belmiro wants to improve his position but Navarro is controlling well.
Belmiro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Navarro is working away from the top position though. Navarro wants to control but Belmiro is keeping him busy. Navarro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

He's hooked one of Navarro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Navarro's back! Navarro is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Bigfoot BJJ, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Navarro is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Belmiro gets his way!

Belmiro pushing down on Navarro's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Navarro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Belmiro pulls his head out easily. Belmiro has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Navarro defend it? Belmiro steps over the head and cranks it - Navarro is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Belmiro!
