The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The fight moves into the clinch position. Skystalker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Reed is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Skystalker to the mat. Skystalker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Reed tries for a kimura but Skystalker is defending well. Skystalker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reed wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Reed wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Skystalker, who protects the arm well.

Skystalker is staying active underneath Reed, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Reed is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Skystalker sees it coming and defends easily. Reed is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Skystalker looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Skystalker trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Reed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
