The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Nice takedown defense from McCain. No joy for Kersikov on that attempt.

Kersikov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McCain on his heels. He'll look to pass McCain's guard now, I'm sure.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kersikov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kersikov has his hands clasped together but McCain extends and breaks Kersikov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by McCain.
