Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Koefti (ranked 1855 p4p, 2904 weight class) and Carson Tully (ranked 220 p4p, 316 weight class). Koefti comes to the cage accompanied by IZ - E Ala E. Tully is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Aztec Tribe - Pistoleros. Andre Koefti has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Koefti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carson Tully! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tully shoots in but no luck this time. Horrible takedown attempt by Tully or perhaps it was just good defense by Koefti, which made it look bad. Tully shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Koefti but Koefti pushes him off and we're back to square one. Andre Koefti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carson Tully. Koefti gets a clinch. Tully tries to score a body lock takedown but Koefti shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nice body punch from Koefti - that landed with a thud.
Tully tightens his grip and picks Koefti up, before dumping him to the ground. Koefti manages to land in guard. Koefti tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tully stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koefti swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koefti wants to stand but Tully is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koefti seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Koefti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tully on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koefti tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tully looking to score a takedown here. Koefti is defending well but Tully drives through and ends up in Koefti's guard. Koefti controls Tully momentarily but Tully frees himself. Koefti wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koefti looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Tully trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tully shoots in looking for a takedown. Koefti tries to sprawl out of it but Tully keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koefti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carson Tully seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tully fails with the takedown. Tully shoots in for a takedown but Koefti shows good takedown defense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koefti digs a good body shot into Tully's ribs. Tully closes this distance looking for a takedown but Koefti circles away. Tully avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tully drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Koefti defends it well. Tully takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Koefti connects with a crisp jab. Koefti tries to clinch but Tully moves out of range. Tully shoots in and gets a takedown into Koefti's guard. Tully tries to free his leg and advance position but Koefti is retaining full guard. Koefti is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Koefti is taking a breather. Tully says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tully looking for submissions off his back. Koefti stalling. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Koefti dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Koefti closes the distance and pushes Tully back into the cage. Koefti managing to block the knees to the body from Tully.
Tully goes for a takedown in the clinch but Koefti prevents it.
Tully is trying to drag Koefti to the mat but Koefti just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Tully tries to score a body lock takedown but Koefti shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Andre Koefti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carson Tully. Tully drops down looking for an ankle pick but Koefti pulls his leg out and moves away.
Koefti is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tully can do to turn this around? Tully will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Koefti jabs Tully right on the nose. Tully blinks but takes it well. We've been told by Koefti's head coaches at ZuccoTraining Ground that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Koefti slaps away a takedown attempt from Tully, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koefti throws out a powerful jab. Tully looks for a takedown but Koefti sprawls well. Koefti stuns Tully with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Tully is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tully goes for a double leg but Koefti avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Koefti continues to drive forward. Koefti closes the distance and pushes Tully back into the cage. Koefti pushes Tully back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Koefti. Koefti creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tully's defenses. Koefti is pressed up against the cage. Tully has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Koefti down to the mat. Koefti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Andre Koefti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tully takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A decent looking body kick lands there for Koefti. Both fighters circling a little - Koefti finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Koefti lands with a shot to the body. Koefti wants to clinch. Tully avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A slapping leg kick lands for Koefti.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tully stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Koefti. Tully tries for a takedown but Koefti circles away easily and Koefti counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koefti ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Tully changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koefti tries to avoid it but Tully manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koefti to the ground. Koefti escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tully on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Tully tries to keep at a distance but Koefti has taken the fight into the clinch. Koefti lands a nice elbow. Koefti lands an elbow just above Tully 's eye.
It looks like Carson Tully has been cut. Koefti lands a damaging elbow.
Tully is rocked! Koefti lands an elbow just above Tully 's eye. Tully is still on wobbly legs! Can Koefti finish him? Koefti content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Koefti throws a big uppercut that drops Tully! More strikes from Koefti and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Tully lies dazed against the cage as Koefti celebrates with his cornermen!
