Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seymore Taps! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geison Horz! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horz throws a sloppy head kick and Taps moves out of range easily. Taps closes this distance looking for a takedown but Horz circles away. Taps looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taps shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Horz's guard. Horz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taps can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Horz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Horz wants to pass to mount but Taps is defending the position. Horz tries to stand and escape but Taps is controlling the position. Taps is pressing down on Horz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Horz stopping the sweep attempt from Taps. Horz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taps. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Horz trying to control the position from guard on top but Taps is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Taps is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Horz rolls with it to try and escape but Taps cranks on the arm and Horz is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
