Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23540 p4p, 23561 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 42 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 41 - 34 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. No luck for Buut with that takedown attempt. Buut misses with a body kick. A counter left hand to the body from Mibangon misses its target. Buut shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buut swivels and escapes. Buut shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Buut showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mibangon trying to control from the bottom.
Buut seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Buut thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mibangon's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buut controlling the pace. Buut missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mibangon is positioning himself well to prevent Buut advancing to mount.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mibangon as he jumps to the side. Mibangon is looking to counter with head kicks. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Mibangon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Buut appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Buut seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mibangon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut is taking a breather. Mibangon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Buut looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mibangon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buut is working away from the top position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut blocks the strikes from Mibangon.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Mibangon. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet. Buut closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mibangon to the mat! Mibangon manages to get full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon pulls Buut in close to his closed guard and prevents Buut from doing any damage or advancing position. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buut controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon has control of Buut's left arm, preventing Buut from doing any damage. Buut postures up.
Buut engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Mibangon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buut's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mibangon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Mibangon is taking a breather. Buut says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut gets full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Buut is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Buut pulls Mibangon in close to his closed guard and prevents Mibangon from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut slaps away a takedown attempt from Mibangon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Buut steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mibangon. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Buut looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Mibangon looks for a takedown but Buut sprawls well. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mibangon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut keeps Mibangon under control for a moment. Buut is trying to get back to half guard. Mibangon slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. I wouldn't like to be where Buut is right now. Mibangon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buut keeps working. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Walay Buut has got the better of the ground game so far. Mibangon content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mibangon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mibangon lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut pulls Mibangon in close to his closed guard and prevents Mibangon from doing any damage or advancing position. Mibangon trying to control but Buut is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buut has his hands on Mibangon's head, controlling the position. Mibangon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Minatay Mibangon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walay Buut is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Buut's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
