Akiyama has chosen Time To Say Goodbye as his entrance music. Yoshihiro Akiyama will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama wants to clinch but Dick Twist slips to the side
and Dick Twist counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Akiyama swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Dick Twist counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Akiyama felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Dick Twist tries to pass to full mount but Akiyama defends it.
Akiyama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dick Twist. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dick Twist looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Akiyama with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Dick Twist! Akiyama is hurt baaadly! Dick Twist is firing away with more strikes - Akiyama is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
