The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barbosa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barbosa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We've been hearing good reports from Barbosa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Burnett tries to bench press Barbosa off him but Barbosa keeps the position.

Barbosa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Burnett looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Burnett cracks Barbosa with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Barbosa falls to his knees and Burnett doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
