This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 56 wins and 36 losses; Jackson Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Ramirez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McDonald swivels and escapes. Ramirez leaves McDonald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ramirez shoots for a takedown but McDonald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ramirez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: McDonald (0) vs (4) Ramirez My spies in KFA inform me that Ramirez has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. McDonald tries to roll over but Ramirez keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Ramirez wins on points by 6 to 4. Jackson Ramirez really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised.
