Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dougie McFistface (ranked 2047 p4p, 1607 weight class) and Marco Vera (ranked 265 p4p, 216 weight class). McFistface comes to the cage accompanied by Tiptoe Through The Tulips. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dougie McFistface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Vera!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McFistface tries to keep at a distance but Vera has taken the fight into the clinch.
McFistface drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McFistface has Vera pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vera manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

It looked like McFistface was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Vera is fighting off a takedown attempt but McFistface is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vera to the mat. Vera regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

McFistface jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vera walks away with a smile on his face. McFistface gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Vera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McFistface moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McFistface moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Marco Vera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Vera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
