Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronaldo Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes just misses with a punch to the body.
It looked like Walker wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gomes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walker on his heels. He'll look to pass Walker's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Walker manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Walker working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Walker swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Walker gets through Gomes's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gomes looking for a takedown.
Walker lands an uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walker lands with a short shot to the head.
Walker has a couple of punches blocked by Gomes.
Walker misses with a punch on the inside.
Walker gets underhooks to prevent Gomes's takedown attempt.
Gomes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chief Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronaldo Gomes.
Gomes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Walker scores with a counter punch that sends Gomes to the canvas! Walker smells blood - he's punishing Gomes with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Gomes has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Walker!
Chief Walker got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
