Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Nickels (ranked 3696 p4p, 21503 weight class) and Jennson Jameison (ranked 384 p4p, 510 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jameison misses with a takedown
and Nickels counters by moving into the clinch.
Jameison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nickels shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jameison as he avoids it easily.

Jameison is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nickels shoots in looking for a takedown. Jameison tries to sprawl out of it but Nickels keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jameison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jameison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nickels manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Nickels will probably get the nod.

A head kick from Jameison lands but Nickels takes it in his stride.

Jameison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nickels tries to avoid it but Jameison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nickels to the ground. Nickels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
