Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James KE (ranked 4050 p4p, 4066 weight class) and Davon Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James KE! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davon Calderon! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calderon tries to clinch but KE is having none of it. KE tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Calderon counters with a lovely straight right hand! KE is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Davon Calderon has been cut. KE gets caught flat footed, as Calderon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Calderon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with KE. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. KE thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. KE will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. KE pulls Calderon in close to prevent any damage. KE is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Calderon defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Calderon is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. KE is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Calderon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Calderon wants to control from the top but KE keeps moving. Calderon wants to stand but KE is controlling his posture from full guard. KE pushes Calderon off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. KE explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Calderon closes the distance and clinches up with KE, looking for a takedown. Calderon pushes KE against the cage but KE circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Calderon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. KE half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. KE misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Calderon.
KE closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Calderon did well to prevent KE getting side control. Calderon is trying to escape back to his feet but KE uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Calderon is looking for a sweep. KE is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Calderon can do anything to dispel that myth. KE stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. KE is thwarting Calderon's attempts to control the position. KE is controlling the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Calderon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Back to the action. Calderon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from KE. KE shoots in for a double leg but Calderon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. KE is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Calderon can do to turn this around? Calderon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. KE closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Calderon tries to bench press KE off him but KE keeps the position. KE decides to stand back up. KE steps back and let's Calderon get back to his feet. KE closes the distance and pushes Calderon back into the cage. Calderon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Calderon shoots for a takedown but KE saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from KE. No joy for Calderon on that attempt. Calderon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. KE is trying to defend but Calderon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. KE makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's one minute gone in the round. KE tries to close the distance and clinch up but Calderon swats him away and circles back towards the center. No joy there for Calderon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
KE went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Calderon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. KE tries to circle away but Calderon has him pinned against the cage. Calderon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by KE after a bit of a struggle. James KE has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davon Calderon. Calderon breaks from the clinch.
KE scores with a takedown into Calderon's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. KE looking to pass the guard. Calderon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calderon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in KE's guard.
KE had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Calderon defends it easily. Calderon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Calderon is stalling in the full guard. Calderon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. That's three minutes gone in the round. Calderon drops back looking for a leg! KE is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and KE manages to kick Calderon off! The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Calderon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching KE on his heels. He'll look to pass KE's guard now, I'm sure. Calderon trying to control the position from guard on top but KE is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Calderon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. KE swivels though and keeps the full guard. That was a close second round but I would say that James KE will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Davon Calderon's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! KE darts in looking for a takedown but Calderon gets double underhooks and turns KE into the cage. KE looking to stall.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Calderon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as KE walks away with a smile on his face. Calderon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. James KE has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davon Calderon. Calderon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. KE tries to avoid it but Calderon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag KE to the ground. KE escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. KE fails with the takedown. Calderon throws a head kick but KE moves out of range.
Calderon moves into the clinch. KE jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Calderon walks away with a smile on his face. KE gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Calderon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. KE manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. KE bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick from Calderon misses. James KE is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. KE tries to sprawl but Calderon drives through with a takedown into half guard. Calderon throwing shots but KE is blocking nicely. Calderon passes to full mount! KE wants to control but Calderon is having none of it. KE avoids a series of strikes thrown by Calderon.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Calderon landing strikes, looking to finish! Calderon controlling the pace for now. Calderon throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Calderon wants to finish this one by submission but KE is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Calderon. Calderon looking to finish with strikes here!
