Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Peart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Mitia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terry Peart is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Terry Peart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dmitri Mitia! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peart tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mitia swivels and escapes. Peart looks for a takedown but Mitia sprawls well. No joy there for Mitia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mitia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mitia content to stall in guard here. Peart throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Peart looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mitia trying to control the position from guard on top but Peart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mitia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mitia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mitia pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peart is keeping the position for now. Mitia trying to stand up but can't free himself from Peart's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitia missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Peart shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mitia counters with a nice double leg into side control. Peart won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Peart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peart wants to control but Mitia postures up. Mitia trying to control the position but Peart is working away. Mitia has knee on belly and moves into mount. Mitia looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peart wants to hold on but Mitia pushes him away. Mitia unloads with some shots from mount but Peart bucks and avoids them well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitia prevents Peart from getting the reversal. Peart is breathing heavily. Mitia controlling the pace for now. Mitia prevents Peart from getting the reversal. Peart is working hard here to advance position. Mitia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Peart is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mitia wants to control the pace but Peart is squirming around nicely. Mitia is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Peart is surviving well by controlling Mitia's body position as best he can. Peart tries to reverse the position but Mitia maintains control. Peart tries to lock up and control but Mitia gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peart really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mitia working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitri Mitia dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Peart misses with a takedown and Mitia moves into the clinch. Peart has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mitia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mitia jumps guard.
Peart passes Mitia's left leg - he's now in half guard. Mitia is trying to stand.
Mitia is trying to maintain the position but Peart is very close to passing his half guard. Mitia actively working from the bottom here. Peart thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mitia's head. Peart is looking to stall here but Mitia recovers full guard. Mitia wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peart is looking to stand up but Mitia won't let him. Mitia not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Peart doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mitia counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Peart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mitia decides to stand back up. Mitia steps back and let's Peart get back to his feet. Mitia gets a takedown into half guard. Peart trying to hold on to Mitia's head to control him but Mitia postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peart tries to roll over but Mitia keeps him under control. Mitia decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Mitia fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peart sprawls well initially but Mitia persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peart blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mitia. Mitia is trying to control the action in half guard but Peart is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Peart tries to roll over but Mitia keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitia seems to be working for a kimura but Peart defends the submission attempt. Peart wants to control but Mitia is keeping busy and won't allow it. Peart wants to get back to his feet. Peart is looking for a sweep. Mitia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mitia darts in and clinches Peart up against the cage. Mitia is trying to trip Peart. He has hold of a leg but Peart is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mitia persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Peart looking for a guillotine here but Mitia defends easily.
Peart looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mitia is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mitia sitting in guard, not really doing much. Peart working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mitia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mitia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mitia trying to control but Peart is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitri Mitia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Mitia wants to clinch. Peart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mitia counters by moving into the clinch. Peart breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Terry Peart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peart gets caught flat footed, as Mitia shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Peart is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Peart can't keep his opponent in guard - Mitia advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Peart wants to control but Mitia is keeping busy.

Peart shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mitia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Peart shoots and misses and Mitia decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peart's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Peart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peart trying to keep a closed guard but Mitia is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitia controls from within his opponent's guard. Peart keeping moving, preventing Mitia from controlling successfully. Peart is trying to control the position but Mitia postures up. Peart is controlling Mitia's posture. Mitia avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Peart looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mitia passes into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitia controls the position. Peart tries to improve position but can't. Mitia advances to full mount. Peart holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mitia tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mitia content just to control the position here. Peart tries to control Mitia's body but Mitia pushes him off. Peart squirms to his side and now Mitia has his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Peart can't escape the position.
Mitia keeps control of the position easily here as Peart tries to buck him off.
Peart tries to roll but Mitia sticks to his back.
Mitia is not going to allow Peart to sit and survive in this position.
And that's the end of the fight! Dmitri Mitia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mitia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
