And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dezba clinches.
Steinkopf wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Steinkopf is looking to break free of the clinch but Dezba has double underhooks.
Steinkopf is trying to break the clinch but Dezba has him pressed against the cage.
Dezba wants a takedown.
Steinkopf prevents the takedown attempt.
Steinkopf takes a shot to the head.
Dezba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steinkopf walks away with a smile on his face. Dezba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rutger Steinkopf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mai Dezba.

Dezba scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dezba fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Dezba lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Dezba wants to control for a moment but Steinkopf uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Dezba flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Steinkopf tries to stand and escape but Dezba is controlling the position.

Steinkopf looking to control but Dezba is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dezba swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Dezba working to try and regain half guard.
Steinkopf controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dezba wants to control but Steinkopf is having none of it.
Dezba keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Dezba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Steinkopf avoids the attempt from Dezba to control.

Steinkopf is looking to stand but Steinkopf has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dezba flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Dezba swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Steinkopf is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Steinkopf will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice body punch from Steinkopf.
Steinkopf connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Steinkopf cracks Dezba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Steinkopf wants to get back to striking at distance but Dezba won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rutger Steinkopf will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Steinkopf lands a slapping body shot.
Steinkopf connects with a single shot there.
Steinkopf misses with a double jab.
Steinkopf cracks Dezba with a good jab.
Dezba takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dezba blocks a head kick by Steinkopf.
Steinkopf lands with a straight right. Dezba didn't see that one coming.
Steinkopf misses with a straight left.
Steinkopf throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dezba on the side of the head.
Dezba takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


Dezba is rocked!
Steinkopf throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Dezba stumbling backwards into the cage! Dezba bounces back off the cage towards Steinkopf, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Steinkopf lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Steinkopf celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rutger Steinkopf!
