Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Danaher (ranked 3864 p4p, 3315 weight class) and Hermio Junior (ranked 429 p4p, 398 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hermio Junior!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danaher doesn't manage to clinch there - Junior circles away.
Junior with the counter takedown but Danaher avoids it easily.

Junior tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Danaher misses with a head kick.
Danaher throws a head kick but Junior moves out of range.
Junior changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Danaher closes the distance and clinches.
Danaher tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Junior's elbow.

Danaher drives through and clinches with Junior against the cage.
Junior jumps guard but Danaher turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Junior has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Danaher is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Junior is defending well for now.

Junior has hold of Danaher's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Danaher tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Junior cranks the arm and Danaher screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Danaher, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
