Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luka Sorenson (ranked 2987 p4p, 3880 weight class) and Puna Soriano (ranked 318 p4p, 397 weight class). Soriano has chosen Highwayman- The Highwaymen as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Soriano.
Sorenson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Sorenson feints a jab promting Soriano to slip. Sorenson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Soriano slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Soriano's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sorenson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Soriano scrambles back to his feet.

Soriano closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sorenson did well to prevent Soriano getting side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You get the feeling that Sorenson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Soriano cracks Sorenson with a left hook right on the temple and Sorenson goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Soriano lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Sorenson is OK!
