Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Finley McPherson (ranked 1586 p4p, 1286 weight class) and Tommy Matson (ranked 178 p4p, 146 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Finley McPherson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Finley McPherson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Finley McPherson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Matson!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McPherson swinging wildly here.
Matson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
McPherson scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Tommy Matson has been cut.
Matson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Matson! But no joy.
Matson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matson swings widly with a right hand
and McPherson counters with a nice kick to the body.
McPherson avoids the body shot from Matson.
Matson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

McPherson throws a poor cross that misses
and Matson counters with an inside leg kick.
McPherson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Matson throws a jab but it's blocked by McPherson.
Matson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Matson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Matson duly obliges.
McPherson looks to score with a jab to the body but Matson is just out of range.
Matson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Matson connects with a body shot that sends McPherson's belly button to the back.
McPherson throws a jab but it's blocked by Matson.
Nice straight punches there by McPherson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McPherson.

Matson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
McPherson misses with a lunging right hand
and Matson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McPherson throws a looping overhand right but Matson ducks down to avoid it.
McPherson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Matson has time to react.
Nice body punch from Matson.
McPherson throws out a powerful jab.
That has opened up Tommy Matson's cut even more.
Matson misses with a hook to the body
and McPherson counters with a nice right hand that sends Matson toppling to the canvas! Matson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can McPherson finish him?!
McPherson swings widly with a right hand
and Matson counters with a one-two to the body.

McPherson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Matson, pushing him back against the cage.
McPherson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The cut above Tommy Matson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McPherson has a couple of punches blocked by Matson.
Matson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Matson swings wildly with an uppercut but McPherson uses good head movement to avoid it.
McPherson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
McPherson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Tommy Matson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tommy Matson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Finley McPherson!
Our winner, Finley McPherson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
