Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buck Bolkvadze (ranked 2011 p4p, 1873 weight class) and Dave Zaroni (ranked 220 p4p, 209 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Buck Bolkvadze has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Buck Bolkvadze seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Zaroni!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaroni throws a poor cross that misses
and Bolkvadze counters with a nice uppercut.
Bolkvadze has closed the distance and engaged Zaroni in a clinch.
Bolkvadze tries a body shot but Zaroni blocks it.
Bolkvadze stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Zaroni wants to get back to striking at distance but Bolkvadze won't allow it.
Zaroni is looking to break free of the clinch but Bolkvadze has double underhooks.

The fight stays on the outside here - Bolkvadze looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've been informed that Zaroni has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Zaroni escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zaroni lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bolkvadze has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bolkvadze and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bolkvadze connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zaroni momentarily.
Bolkvadze paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Zaroni is rocked!
Zaroni takes a swing at Bolkvadze's ribcage but misses.

Bolkvadze tries to clinch but Zaroni is having none of it.

and Bolkvadze scores with a counter punch that sends Zaroni to the canvas! Bolkvadze smells blood - he's punishing Zaroni with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Zaroni has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buck Bolkvadze!
Our winner, Buck Bolkvadze, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
