Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikita Rianin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chinweike Idowu!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Idowu tries to close the distance and clinch but Rianin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rianin misses the shot to the body.
Rianin throws a push kick but Idowu slaps the foot to one side.
Rianin moves into the clinch successfully.
Rianin pushes Idowu back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Rianin lands a hook that snaps the head of Idowu backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from Rianin.
Idowu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rianin walks away with a smile on his face. Idowu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Idowu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rianin but Rianin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rianin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Idowu tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Idowu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rianin circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Rianin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Idowu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rianin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Rianin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Idowu has time to react.

After the fight, Nikita Rianin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
