Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Payton Hampton (ranked 4467 p4p, 4246 weight class) and Nilo Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Payton Hampton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nilo Marks! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Marks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Marks passes Hampton's left leg - he's now in half guard. Marks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hampton is just riding it out for now. Marks eventually gives up the hold. Hampton trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marks is looking for a kimura here.
Marks sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hampton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hampton tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Marks is taking a breather. Hampton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hampton is looking for a sweep. Marks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Marks is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Marks's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Marks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Marks trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marks trying to mount his opponent but Hampton defends it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hampton connects with a crisp jab. Marks drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Marks is stalling in the full guard. Hampton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marks passes Hampton's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marks wants to get back to his feet.
Marks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hampton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marks on the ground. Hampton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marks is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Marks tries to pass to full mount but Hampton defends it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nilo Marks dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Marks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hampton to the mat! Hampton manages to get full guard. Hampton wants to get back to his feet but Marks passes into half guard.
Hampton is defending against the submission attempts here by Marks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Still in half guard, Marks seems content to control. Hampton is defending against the submission attempts here by Marks.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jab, jab by Hampton - just one landing. Marks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hampton finds it's way round the side to connect with Marks's head. Marks takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Marks walks into a left hand. Hampton's jab looks to have found its range, popping Marks under the eye. Hampton avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hampton takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Marks tries to clinch but Hampton moves out of range. Marks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice jab there from Hampton. A jab from Hampton does it's job there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marks tries to move into range but Hampton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Hampton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Marks fails in his attempt to clinch. Marks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hampton scores with a crisp jab that stopped Marks in his tracks. Marks doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hampton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Marks to score an easy takedown into full guard. Marks forces his way into half guard. Marks wants to pass the guard but Hampton is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Payton Hampton dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Hampton scores with the left hand. Marks knows he should have avoided that one. Marks keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hampton. Hampton throws a hook but Marks avoids it easily. Hampton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Marks takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Marks fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hampton checks it well. Marks needs to keep his hands up - Hampton had a free shot at his head there. Hampton listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Hampton throws a shot from downtown. Marks moves away and avoids it. Marks ducks under a wild hook from Hampton. Marks gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Marks fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Marks shoots in but Hampton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hampton stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hampton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. It seemed like Marks was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Marks keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hampton. Hampton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marks can do to turn this around? Marks shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Marks showed some decent athleticism there. Hampton is trying to escape back to his feet but Marks uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Marks is looking to take a break and control but Hampton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hampton has one of Marks's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hampton tries to improve position but can't. Marks working away. Check out the look on Marks's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hampton is not content to let Marks control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hampton, who protects the arm well. Hampton tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hampton is letting Marks control him for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. More stalling from Marks. Hampton is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hampton takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Nilo Marks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nilo Marks has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Marks tries to stand but Hampton is controlling his head.
And that's the end of the fight! Payton Hampton showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hampton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
