The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eight shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eight trying to control but Seven is working from the bottom.
Eight is fighting to break Seven's control of his arms but Seven is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Seven is continuing to stall.
Eight controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eight preventing the sweep.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Seven can do anything to dispel that myth.
Seven is trying to keep Eight in close.
Eight looking to pass the guard.

Seven darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Seven is trying to work for a kimura but Eight is defending well.
Eight regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Seven.
Eight wants to stand up but Seven is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eight keeping full guard, as Seven tries to pass.
Eight has control of Seven's left arm, preventing Seven from doing any damage.
Seven throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eight works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Eight working a defensive guard but Seven manages to pass into side control anyway.
Eight can't do much from the bottom here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Seven is trying to ground and pound but Eight uses the momentary lack of control by Seven to regain half guard.
Eight is looking for a sweep. Seven is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Fighter Seven.
Well Seven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
