Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kingsley Brown (ranked 3437 p4p, 3959 weight class) and Patrick Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murphy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Black Keys - Little Black Submarines . Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a kick to the body.
Brown avoids the body shot from Murphy.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Murphy.
It looked like Brown wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Murphy gets a clinch.
Brown lands a left hand that snaps the head of Murphy backwards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murphy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Murphy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Murphy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Murphy uses his free foot to push down on Brown's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brown.

Brown is trying to escape the mount but Murphy keeps good control and instead manages to take Brown's back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Murphy is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Brown defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Murphy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Well, with Murphy on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Brown is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
