Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Hyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Makoto Toda!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Chris Dean and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyde cracks Toda with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hyde has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Toda to stand back up!
Toda is rocked!
It looks like Makoto Toda has been cut.
Toda rushes Hyde and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Toda is still on wobbly legs! Can Hyde finish him?
Hyde breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Toda falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hyde counters with a crisp right that sends Toda to the canvas! Hyde follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grant Hyde!
