Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demian Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Mayo shows good takedown defense.
Gracie missing with a left hand there. Mayo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gracie gets the takedown into side control.
Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mayo, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Mayo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mayo is looking to reverse the position.
Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mayo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!
Mayo is persistently looking for the submission but Gracie is defending it well.
Mayo is looking to control Gracie but Gracie is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Gracie is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Gracie manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mayo's guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mayo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mayo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mayo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mayo's back instead.
Gracie is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Mayo is defending well though. Gracie let's go of the attempt for now.

Mayo manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gracie's guard. Nice work there by Mayo.
Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mayo defends it well.

Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Mayo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Mayo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mayo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mayo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
