Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chase Huang (ranked 2825 p4p, 3609 weight class) and James KE (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chase Huang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James KE!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huang throws a combination. KE tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like James KE has been cut.
Huang throws a head kick but KE moves out of range.
Huang misses with a series of wild punches.
KE doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Huang throws a sloppy head kick and KE moves out of range easily.
Huang throws a nice looking combination but KE bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

KE moves out of range as Huang strikes.
Huang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but KE circles away quickly and effectively.
Huang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

so KE counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
KE sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Huang's guard.
Huang is breathing heavily.
KE thows a huge punch but Huang dodges it nicely.
KE scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Still in half guard, KE seems content to control.

KE decides to stand and escape the position.
Chase Huang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

KE feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
KE advances position into side control!
KE advances to full mount.
KE landing strikes from the mount and Huang is in trouble!

KE tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
KE lands a big elbow.

KE has hold of Huang's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Huang manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
KE lands a couple of good shots and Huang has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Let's hope that KE has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
KE lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

KE keeps control of the position easily here as Huang tries to buck him off.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

James KE dominated that round.
The cut man is working on James KE's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


KE scores with a takedown into Huang's guard.
KE passes Huang's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
KE wants to pass the guard but Huang is defending well.
KE is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
KE wants to lay and pray for a moment but Huang keeps working.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

KE stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

KE has closed the distance and engaged Huang in a clinch.
KE is trying to pull guard but Huang turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Huang is trying to break the clinch but KE is controlling him.
Huang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but KE has him pressed against the cage.
Huang is looking to break free of the clinch but KE has double underhooks.

KE escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
KE is looking to clinch but Huang is avoiding it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Huang does no damage.
Chase Huang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
KE on the wrong end of a nice jab.
KE doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Huang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
KE lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Huang swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and KE counters with a good low kick that Huang was not able to check.
KE lands a head kick!

KE rushes Huang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
KE scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
KE dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

KE manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huang fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

KE closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Huang to the mat! Huang manages to get full guard.

KE has gone for a leg lock! Huang slips out almost immediately though and dives into KE's guard.

Huang wants to get up but he can't break KE's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Huang wants to stand and escape but instead KE has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


KE stands up from Huang's guard - KE perhaps looking for a knockout.
A punch combination from Huang misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huang leaves KE with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chase Huang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James KE.
KE blocks a head kick by Huang.
KE keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Huang dips to his left and cracks KE with an uppercut!

Huang gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows KE to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
KE stands and throws Huang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
KE trying to control the position but Huang is working away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

James KE showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on James KE's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

KE shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Huang defends it nicely.
Huang seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Huang goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and KE counters with a shoot takedown. Huang fights it but they end up in guard.
Huang is wriggling around but KE manages to pass to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

KE thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
KE content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
KE takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
KE tries to pass the half guard into mount. Huang knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
KE looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Huang is refusing to be controlled, as KE sits in half guard.
KE landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

KE is trying to work for a kimura but Huang is defending well.
KE is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
KE passes to side control.
KE landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

KE is working to tighten his grip on Huang's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Huang has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but KE is really squeezing tight and eventually Huang passes out! KE breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
