Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boxing Trainer (ranked 2604 p4p, 2391 weight class) and Eugenio Roth (ranked 346 p4p, 323 weight class). Eugenio Roth told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Trainer tests Roth's chin there with a solid looking shot. Roth tries to clinch and Trainer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Eugenio Roth has been cut. Roth moves to clinch but Trainer breaks away and Trainer counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Roth with a poor takedown and Trainer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Roth with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Trainer to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roth tries to clinch but fails miserably and Trainer counters with a left to the body. Roth looks winded! Trainer cracks Roth with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Roth looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Trainer finish him?
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roth avoids a punch combination nicely.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Trainer has cracked Roth with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Trainer lands another huge swinging hook and Roth tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Roth, before Trainer can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Boxing Trainer!
