Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ripp Colton (ranked 2873 p4p, 24290 weight class) and Derrick Ryker (ranked 146 p4p, 405 weight class). Derrick Ryker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ripp Colton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Ryker!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colton has Ryker up against the cage in a clinch.
Colton looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Colton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Colton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ryker tries to free his leg and advance position but Colton is retaining full guard.
Ryker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ryker postures up.
Ryker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Colton throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ryker uses it to pass to side control.

Ryker has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Colton!

Colton is wriggling around trying to escape.

Colton is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Zombie MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Ryker avoids the attempt from Colton to control.

Colton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ryker is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Ryker controlling the position easily from mount.
Colton is trying desperately to improve position.
Ryker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Colton is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ryker looking to control and managing it successfully.
Colton is desperately trying to improve his position but Ryker has a good base and remains in mount.
Ryker controlling his opponent.
Colton is looking to improve his position but Ryker isn't that keen on the idea.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Colton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Colton successfully pulls guard.
Colton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ryker controls the pace.
Ryker advances position into side control!
Ryker content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Colton is not content to let Ryker control the position.

Colton is looking for a sweep.
Ryker moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Colton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ryker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Colton is looking to regain half guard here but Ryker keeps moving and retains side control.
Ryker controls the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Ryker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ryker tries to move to mount but Colton blocks the move with his legs.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Colton pushes Ryker up against the cage in a clinch.

Colton decides to pull guard.
Colton being controlled here, momentarily.
Colton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ryker trying to control but Colton is working from the bottom.

Colton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ryker controls from within his opponent's guard.
Ryker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Colton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Derrick Ryker has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ryker content to stall in guard here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colton keeping full guard, as Ryker tries to pass.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Colton moves into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Colton pulls Ryker into guard.
Colton keeping moving, preventing Ryker from controlling successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ripp Colton dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Colton moves into range and clinches up with Ryker.

Colton gets control of Ryker's arms and successfully pulls guard. Colton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ryker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Colton looking to control.
Ryker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Colton working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ryker has passed into half guard!
Ryker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ryker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Colton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ryker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Colton has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ryker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Colton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Colton clinches with his opponent.

Colton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ryker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ripp Colton showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Colton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
