Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Bolivar (ranked 3069 p4p, 4587 weight class) and Haru Nakamura (ranked 213 p4p, 267 weight class). Bolivar comes to the ring accompanied by COLMILLO. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Haru Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolivar dives in and grabs Nakamura's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nakamura pushes down on Bolivar's head and hops out.
Bolivar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nakamura avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nakamura lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Bolivar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mauricio Bolivar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nakamura displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bolivar throws out the jab.

Bolivar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nakamura doesn't seem bothered though.

Bolivar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nakamura moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bolivar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Nakamura moves into the clinch successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Haru Nakamura dominated that round.

Nakamura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bolivar napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nakamura is trying to ground and pound but Bolivar uses the momentary lack of control by Nakamura to regain half guard.

Bolivar jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Nakamura obliges.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Nakamura just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bolivar's brow.

Nakamura unleashes a big counter combination but Bolivar bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Nakamura moves into range and clinches up with Bolivar.

Bolivar drags the fight down to the ground.

Nakamura is looking to work some ground and pound but Bolivar has wrist control.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nakamura takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bolivar looking for a sweep. Not yet Bolivar, not yet.

Nakamura has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bolivar to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nakamura is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bolivar pulls down on the head and he's put Nakamura to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mauricio Bolivar!
In his post fight interview, Mauricio Bolivar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
