Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23996 p4p, 23947 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 45 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 47 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bitok. Bitok closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buktot circles away. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Buktot moves away. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buktot shoots in for a double leg but Bitok sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bitok follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bitok sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bitok with a lazy takedown attempt and Buktot counters with a solid body kick. Buktot shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Buktot was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bitok is being controlled here. The referee asks Buktot politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Buktot prefers to stall for the moment though. Bitok keeping his opponent close. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bitok tries to improve position but can't.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Buktot is fighting to break Bitok's control of his arms but Bitok is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Buktot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bitok has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Buktot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok controlling the position.

Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Bitok shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buktot as he jumps to the side. Buktot is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Buktot looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bitok! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot trying to control the position but Bitok is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bitok's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Buktot wants to control but Bitok is keeping him busy. Bitok being controlled for a moment. Bitok takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bitok is looking for a sweep. Buktot controls the position from side control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buktot scores with a takedown into Bitok's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok controlling Buktot's posture. Buktot passes Bitok's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Buktot controlling the action here.

This is the final round! Buktot misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bitok follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buktot shoots in for a takedown but Bitok shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Buktot misses with a takedown attempt - Bitok sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buktot wants it to stay on the feet. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it.

Bitok gets off balance looking for a body kick and Buktot counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bitok thinking. Buktot shoots in for a takedown but Bitok shows good takedown defense. Bitok fails with the takedown and Buktot counters with a body kick.

He's pushed Buktot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Buktot dives in and scores a takedown into Bitok's guard. Bitok trying to strike off his back.
Bitok seems keen to control Buktot's posture. Buktot is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dawindi Buktot. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buktot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
