PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jingky Bacolod (ranked 2685 p4p, 1636 weight class) and Usko Unbelivable (ranked 148 p4p, 103 weight class). Bacolod comes into the arena with Havana blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jingky Bacolod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 29 - 2, fighting out of London, Usko Unbelivable!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unbelivable throws a sloppy head kick and Bacolod moves out of range easily.
Bacolod throwing a counter right hand but Unbelivable manages to avoid it.

Unbelivable changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bacolod looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bacolod tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bacolod is trying to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Unbelivable is looking for the choke from the back position but Bacolod is controlling his hands well.
Bacolod trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Unbelivable is looking to control Bacolod but Bacolod is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Our spies down at at Deathsquad inform us that Unbelivable has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Unbelivable is working for a kimura but Bacolod is defending it quite comfortably.
Bacolod is staying active underneath Unbelivable, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bacolod tries to get to full guard but Unbelivable has control of the leg.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Unbelivable drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Unbelivable decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Bacolod misses with a takedown attempt - Unbelivable sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jingky Bacolod is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Unbelivable tries to clinch up but Bacolod circles away and keeps his distance.

Unbelivable shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Unbelivable showed some decent athleticism there.

Unbelivable is working for a kimura but Bacolod is defending it quite comfortably.
Unbelivable takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Unbelivable is trying to control the action in half guard but Bacolod is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bacolod kicks off Unbelivable and gets to his feet.
Bacolod darts in looking for a takedown but Unbelivable gets double underhooks and turns Bacolod into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jingky Bacolod. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bacolod jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Unbelivable walks away with a smile on his face. Bacolod gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Unbelivable goes for a double leg but Bacolod avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bacolod continues to drive forward.

Unbelivable has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bacolod can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Usko Unbelivable showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Unbelivable displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bacolod.
Bacolod changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Unbelivable tries to avoid it but Bacolod manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Unbelivable to the ground. Unbelivable escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Unbelivable looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Unbelivable shoots in for a double leg but Bacolod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bacolod is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bacolod is looking to take a break and control but Unbelivable is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bacolod wants to work for an arm triangle but Unbelivable is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Usko Unbelivable is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Unbelivable has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bacolod's face.

Unbelivable can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bacolod is looking to escape.
Bacolod keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Unbelivable is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bacolod can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Well Unbelivable has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
