PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anwar Hussin (ranked 2284 p4p, 2262 weight class) and Mr Torso (ranked 275 p4p, 273 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anwar Hussin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mr Torso!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hussin connects with a nice short shot to Torso's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hussin sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Hussin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Torso wants to hold on but Hussin pushes him away.
Hussin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Torso's face.
Hussin lands a couple of good shots and Torso has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hussin is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Hussin gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Hussin gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hussin apologises and we restart here on the feet.
