Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Carryon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Carryon! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carryon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva. Silva takes the fight into the clinch. Carryon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Carryon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Carryon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Carryon has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Carryon's head.
It looks like James Carryon has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Carryon on that attempt. Fernando Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Carryon. This has been an exciting period of action! Carryon shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense. Silva moves into range and clinches up with Carryon. Silva manages to pull guard.
Silva pushes Carryon off and scrambles back to his feet.
Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Silva jumps guard.
Silva is looking to stand back up but Carryon counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Silva. Silva is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to get back to his feet. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carryon. Silva missing with punches from the bottom.
Carryon is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silva is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva clinches up with Carryon and pushes him back against the cage. Silva gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva is keen to just control but Carryon is a slippery customer. Carryon wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.
Carryon misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Carryon tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carryon keeps working.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A solid leg kick lands there for Silva.
Carryon looks gassed! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fernando Silva dominated that round. The cut man is working on James Carryon's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silva has a takedown stuffed. Carryon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Carryon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Carryon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Carryon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Carryon is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carryon off and has taken his back! Carryon is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Carryon for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee is taking a good look at Carryon as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Silva!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Silva throwing damaging strikes from the back! Carryon could be in trouble here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva has good solid back control here. Silva somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Carryon's chin but Carryon turns very nicely into Silva's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Carryon.
Silva wants to improve his position but instead Carryon has moved into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silva is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fernando Silva dominated that second round. The cut man is working on James Carryon's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Carryon shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Carryon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Silva has hold of one of Carryon's legs. Carryon is fighting the takedown attempt but Silva gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Silva stands and steps away. Carryon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Carryon shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily. Fernando Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Carryon. Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Silva has managed to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short right from Silva on the inside. The is referee keeping an eye on Silva - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Carryon misses with a knee to the head. Carryon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Carryon sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carryon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Carryon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target. Silva clinches up with Carryon and pushes him back against the cage. Carryon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Carryon tries a knee to the head but Silva blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silva pulls guard successfully.
Silva controls Carryon momentarily but Carryon frees himself. Silva wants to get back to his feet but Carryon is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Carryon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carryon stopping the sweep attempt from Silva. Carryon wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Carryon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Carryon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Carryon misses with a wild combination.
Silva cracks Carryon with a right hand to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carryon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva. Silva scores with a crisp jab that stopped Carryon in his tracks. James Carryon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fernando Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Danga de danga de dang - Silva scores with a four punch combination!
And that's the end of the fight! Fernando Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well Silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
