The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

McGuire throws a nice outside leg kick.

McGuire lands an elbow inside.
Head escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGuire lands a big right hand that sends Head crashing to the mat! McGuire stays standing though and waves Head back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
