Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mr Torso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Cabral!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torso circles away from the clinch attempt
and Torso counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Torso uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cabral has time to react.
Cabral wants to clinch up but Torso keeps it at a distance.
Cabral takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The fighters circle momentarily. Torso darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Torso throws a hook but Cabral avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cabral takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Torso throws a lazy uppercut

and Cabral counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Torso pushes Cabral off but Cabral dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Torso on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Torso tries to get out of the position.

Cabral tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Cabral tries for a kimura but Torso is defending well.
Cabral wants to control but Torso is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cabral wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Torso, who protects the arm well.
Cabral looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Torso tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cabral wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Cabral is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Torso has escaped the position, nice work there.
Torso stops Cabral from passing to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cabral controlling from side mount.
Torso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cabral on the ground.

Cabral has hold of Torso's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Torso seems comfortable defending it but Cabral has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Torso is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Torso is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cabral couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bernardo Cabral!
