Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 23670 p4p, 2615 weight class) and Caua Takeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeda is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Oba, La Vem Ela. Clifford Val Salvacion has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 59 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caua Takeda! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvacion tries to keep at a distance but Takeda has taken the fight into the clinch. Nice body punch from Takeda - that landed with a thud.
Takeda jumps guard.
Takeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Takeda is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Salvacion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takeda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Takeda looking to hit a scissor sweep but Salvacion is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takeda has his feet on Salvacion's thighs here. He's pushed Salvacion off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Salvacion screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Caua Takeda! Caua Takeda really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Coconut Supplement Co. logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
