The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gustafsson is staying active underneath Brownie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Brownie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gustafsson on the ground.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gustafsson wants to improve his position but Brownie is controlling well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gustafsson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
