Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Murray (ranked 3814 p4p, 4658 weight class) and Kakkos Salama (ranked 371 p4p, 433 weight class). Kakkos Salama told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kakkos Salama! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray throws a series of punches but Salama avoids them all with ease. Salama dodges the punch combination from Murray.
Murray wants to slow Salama down by chopping away at his legs. Salama fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Murray takes the fight into the clinch. Salama tries to pull guard but Murray holds him up against the ropes and eventually Salama drops back down to his feet.
Salama jumps guard but Murray turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Jason Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kakkos Salama. Salama gets control of Murray's arms and successfully pulls guard. Salama will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Murray throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Salama works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Salama looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Murray defends well. Salama working for a triangle but Murray defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Salama keeping moving, preventing Murray from controlling successfully.

Murray wants to control from the top but Salama keeps moving. Murray is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Salama is looking for a triangle here but Murray uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Salama tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salama manages to work his way to half guard, despite Murray's best efforts. Salama looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Salama looking for submissions off his back. Murray wants to control but Salama is keeping him busy. Salama is looking to improve his position.
