Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dan Diego (ranked 2656 p4p, 2765 weight class) and Mike Chandler (ranked 184 p4p, 191 weight class). Mike Chandler will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Diego! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Chandler! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chandler lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Diego at a distance.
Diego has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MMAH League and Warrior Nation in the buildup to the fight. Chandler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diego. Chandler looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Diego missing with a left hand there. Chandler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Diego cracks Chandler with a right hand to the side of the head. Chandler swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chandler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Diego throws a right hand that Chandler ducks under and follows up with a left that Chandler also avoids with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chandler throws a shot from downtown. Diego moves away and avoids it. It looked like Diego wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Diego with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chandler to score with a decent uppercut. Diego avoids the body shot from Chandler.
Diego swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diego works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Chandler tries to clinch up. Chandler lunges at Diego with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Diego's hand. Nice defenses there by Chandler. A jab from Diego misses. Chandler paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Dan Diego has been cut. Chandler scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Diego is rocked! Diego jabs at Chandler's body. Oh Diego is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diego lands with a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big left from Diego misses. Chandler lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Chandler connects with a good right hand that stumbles Diego. Diego circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diego looks up at the clock. Bad move! Chandler lands a right hand from hell, dropping Diego. Chandler pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
