Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferreira comes into the arena with Remedy-Seether blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Smith.

Ferreira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Ferreira sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ferreira can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ferreira turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Smith off and cradles Ferreira's limp body as Smith celebrates with his corner.
