Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greg Redman (ranked 4012 p4p, 3860 weight class) and Dong Hyun Ma (ranked 387 p4p, 380 weight class). Greg Redman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Redman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dong Hyun Ma! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ma closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Redman is trying to maintain the position but Ma is very close to passing his half guard. Redman pushes Ma off looking to stand but Ma dives back in and keeps control.
Ma keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Redman trying to control from the bottom.
Redman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Redman is trying to control but can't.
Ma is controlling the pace.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. It looks like Ma might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ma shoots in but Redman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redman dives in and grabs Ma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ma pushes down on Redman's head and hops out. Redman misses with a body punch
and Ma decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Redman's guard. Redman doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Ma showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Redman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ma postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redman wants to sweep but no luck. Redman has his foot on Ma's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ma works his way back into a safe position though. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ma controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice body kick there by Redman. Redman throws a head kick that misses and Ma counters with a shoot takedown. Redman fights it but they end up in guard. Ma sitting in guard here, content to control. Redman is looking to stand up but Ma isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ma controlling from the top position. Ma lands a couple of digs. Ma stops Redman from standing up. Ma passes Redman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Redman throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Redman trying to control from the bottom.
Ma has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Redman defend it? Ma steps over the head and cranks it - Redman is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ma!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dong Hyun Ma! An out of breath and clearly excited Dong Hyun Ma thanked Sakura Style for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
