The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondragon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Schotel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mondragon lands a two punch combo.
Schotel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mondragon looks for a takedown but Schotel sprawls well.
A cross from Mondragon lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schotel clinches.
Mondragon is pushing Schotel up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Schotel breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mondragon closes the distance and pushes Schotel back into the cage.
Schotel breaks the clinch.
Schotel tries to clinch up but Mondragon circles away and keeps his distance.
Dodge Schotel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A right-left combo lands from Mondragon.
Mondragon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mondragon lands the left hand.
Mondragon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Schotel.
Schotel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Schotel tries to clinch but Mondragon is having none of it.
Mondragon steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Schotel.
Mondragon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schotel pinned against the cage. Schotel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dodge Schotel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Esteban Mondragon.

Schotel throws a head kick but Mondragon moves out of range.
Mondragon is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Schotel misses with a body kick.
Mondragon misses with an uppercut.
Mondragon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Dodge Schotel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dodge Schotel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Schotel.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mondragon throws a hook to the side of Schotel's head but Schotel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A head kick by Schotel misses
and Mondragon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Schotel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Schotel wanted to stand there but Mondragon had control of the position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Esteban Mondragon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mondragon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
