Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Kardi (ranked 1965 p4p, 1650 weight class) and Tomahawk Chai (ranked 266 p4p, 231 weight class). Rudi Kardi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tomahawk Chai's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 2, fighting out of London, Rudi Kardi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomahawk Chai!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kardi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chai napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kardi tries to advance to mount but can't.

Kardi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Chai rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kardi's guard! Nice work there by Chai!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kardi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Chai is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kardi.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kardi is looking for a sweep.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Kardi tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chai has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Kardi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chai pulls his head out easily.

Chai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kardi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chai has managed to get both his arms back between Kardi's legs - danger averted.

Kardi has a hand on Chai's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Chai takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Kardi is desperately trying to improve his position but Chai has a good base and remains in mount.

Chai doesn't have the hooks in and Kardi manages to turn into his guard.

Kardi has gone for a leg lock! Chai slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kardi's guard.

Chai is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

A close round but Tomahawk Chai will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chai throws a chopping leg kick but Kardi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Chai feints and then cracks Kardi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kardi down.

Kardi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chai sprawls and moves away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Chai throws out a counter right but Kardi avoids it with no problem.
Kardi misses with a takedown attempt - Chai sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Chai cracks Kardi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Rudi Kardi has been cut.

Chai thows a left - swing and a miss!
Chai misses with a straight right.
Kardi avoids the head kick by Chai.
Kardi appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kardi moves in looking to clinch but Chai pushes him off.
Chai bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kardi's head backwards.

Chai has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chai throws a right and a left that Kardi avoids nicely.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kardi checks a leg kick.
Chai throws a hook but Kardi avoids it easily.

Chai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kardi moves away.
Chai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kardi attempts a counter takedown but Chai avoids it well and moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Chai as Kardi shoots in.
Chai looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rudi Kardi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chai fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kardi is out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kardi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Chai is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Chai has escaped and now he's on top!


Kardi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tomahawk Chai has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kardi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chai swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tomahawk Chai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

and Chai counters with a nice uppercut.

Tomahawk Chai seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Chai looks to land a combination but Kardi avoids it well.
Kardi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kardi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chai as he jumps to the side.
Chai appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Kardi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chai sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kardi somewhat.

Kardi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chai.
Kardi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Chai misses with an uppercut. Kardi saw that one coming.
Kardi appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kardi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kardi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Rudi Kardi's cut is getting worse.
Kardi shoots for a double leg takedown but Chai sprawls well. He's pushed Kardi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A slapping leg kick lands for Chai.
Kardi tries for a takedown but Chai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Chai stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chai wants it to stay on the feet.
Chai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kardi blocks a low kick nicely.
Tomahawk Chai is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Chai paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Chai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Well Chai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
