Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Jones (ranked 3114 p4p, 2864 weight class) and Boney Goat (ranked 322 p4p, 298 weight class). Dan Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Boney Goat!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.
Goat fails in his attempt to clinch.

Goat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Goat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Goat misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones has his hands on Goat's head, controlling the position.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Goat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Goat pushes his legs off easily.

Goat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Goat stands up from Jones's guard - Goat perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Jones avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
It looked like Jones wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Goat looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jones!

Goat works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Jones managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Goat.

Goat lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jones down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been informed that Goat has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Goat tries to score with some ground and pound. Jones controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jones won't allow Goat to pass to mount.
Goat is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones has hold of Goat's hands but Goat slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jones wants to get back to full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jones tries to keep at a distance but Goat has taken the fight into the clinch.
Goat lands an elbow just above Jones 's eye.

It looks like Dan Jones has been cut.

Jones turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Jones throws a sloppy strike and Goat uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Goat has ended up in Jones's guard.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goat's guard.

Goat wants to hit a sweep here but Jones passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Goat there!

Goat is wriggling around trying to escape.
Goat avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jones.
Jones thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Jones throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Goat because Jones loaded up on that one.

Jones wants to control the pace but Goat is squirming around nicely.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Goat tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
Jones looking to finish with strikes here!

Jones wants to control the pace but Goat is squirming around nicely.
Goat is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.
Jones looking to control but Goat is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Goat wants to control but Jones is having none of it.

Goat slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Goat is trying to get back to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Jones dominated that second round.

That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Goat doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Goat thinking.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Goat crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Goat is rocked!

It looks like Boney Goat has been cut.
Jones ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Goat out cold! The fight is over!
