PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Kieliszkowski (ranked 2412 p4p, 1763 weight class) and Gordon Hunter (ranked 296 p4p, 239 weight class). Hunter has chosen King of Curses as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mateusz Kieliszkowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gordon Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hunter showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hunter is pressing down on Kieliszkowski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kieliszkowski is holding on for now.

Hunter seems to be working for a kimura but Kieliszkowski defends the submission attempt.

Kieliszkowski is staying active underneath Hunter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kieliszkowski is just riding it out for now. Hunter eventually gives up the hold.

Hunter has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kieliszkowski has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Kieliszkowski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hunter swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kieliszkowski is now in Hunter's guard. A big mistake from Hunter there, giving up the dominant position!

Hunter is looking for a triangle but Kieliszkowski pushes his legs off easily.

Gordon Hunter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Hunter dives in and scores a takedown into Kieliszkowski's guard.
Kieliszkowski will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hunter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well Hunter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
