Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between River Waters (ranked 25259 p4p, 4622 weight class) and Paul Nichols (ranked 558 p4p, 468 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. River Waters is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, River Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Nichols! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Waters looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Waters tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nichols connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nichols looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Waters takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Waters tries to clinch but Nichols moves out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Waters looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nichols scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Waters doesn't seem bothered though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waters moves to clinch but Nichols breaks away and Nichols counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Nichols digs a good hook to Waters's body.
Nichols circles away from the clinch attempt and Nichols counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nichols smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Waters darts in trying to clinch and Nichols counters with a stiff right hand. Nichols scores with a decent looking hook.
Waters is rocked! Nichols fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Oh Waters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Decent striking displayed by Nichols there. Paul Nichols seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nichols lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nichols has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Nichols lands a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nichols missing with a left hand there. Waters was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nichols is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Waters had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Waters wants to clinch and Nichols counters with a straight right hand. Waters tries to close the distance and clinch but Nichols swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Waters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nichols swats him away and circles back towards the center. Waters tries to clinch up and Nichols counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Waters tries to clinch up. Nichols cracks Waters on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Waters falls backwards against the cage. Nichols follows up with more strikes that drop Waters to his knees. Nichols keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Waters! This one is all over!
