Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Rua.
Stein dives in and grabs Rua's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes down on Stein's head and hops out.
Rua scores with a jab to the body.
Rua lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rua cracks Stein with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Stein looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rua finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rua misses with a hook to the body
so Stein counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rua is wriggling around but Stein manages to pass to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stein decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stein.
Rickson Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stein is rocked!
Rua cracks Stein with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Stein falls to his knees and Rua doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rickson Rua!
